Tree Debris Removal

Jul 10, 2024 | News

Hurricane Beryl blew through El Lago leaving behind countless downed trees, branches, and other green debris. In order to alleviate some of the storm’s destruction, the city has partnered with local tree services to begin removing tree debris around the city. We are asking residents to ensure all storm debris be placed on the city right-of-way near the curb for removal. Avoid placing items in the street to ensure safe passage for vehicles.

Storm debris removal will begin as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.

7/17/2024 UPDATE

Here are the latest updates on storm debris removal for El Lago as of July 17, 2024.

Today, July 17th, the city had a kick off meeting with our debris removal contractors to communicate and coordinate the plan.

Tomorrow, July 18th, the contractors will be preparing the site for debris collection.

Friday, July 19th, debris clean up will begin in El Lago. Residents should ensure storm debris has been moved to the city right of way, close to the street curb in front of your home. Our contractors will pick it up from there.

We are anticipating clean up efforts to be complete before Labor Day.
